No big deal, ¿no?
A couple of days ago someone close to me told me I might have pulled a bit weight. No biggie right? Well it felt like an emotional kick right in the self love. Fear of rejection? Very surely, but today I want to vent about insecurities.
We all have them. We all know a million influencers trying to make us feel better about our bodies (I don't know to what point that's healthy tbh) but the reality is that is not that easy to love ourselves let alone accept that we have parts that we might not like that much. Self love is a long, hard process and I still don't know if its better to just come to terms with it or change what you don't like.
What I do know, is that we are all fighting our demons, even if you don't see it. If you want to help someone fight them, carefully ask how and if you can support. Being insecure makes you vulnerable and therefore susceptible to others' opinion of yourself.
"you put on some weight", "your cheeks are half your face" "your ears very big" ... trust me, I know and I'm trying to come to terms with it. I'm trying to love them, forget them or just change them.
Some time later I decided I would do a meditation for self-love growth on my podcast. It's only in spanish atm (best way to learn;) but enjoy it here.
